Wellness Screenings
- A yearly eye exam is a very important part of preventive health care. Vision and eye problems sometimes have very few symptoms, or may not be noticed at all. Our comprehensive eye exams include not just an eyeglass prescription, but also an evaluation of the eye health. Included at no additional charge, photos of the central retina are taken and evaluated. These digital pictures of the back of your eyes assist in the early detection of retinal and optic nerve disease. Having these photos taken each year will allow Dr. Batson to detect subtle changes more accurately.
Emergency Eye Exam
- We understand there are emergent cases. A possible eye infection, scratched eye, or foreign object is a serious matter that needs to be addressed quickly. We have built our schedule to accommodate such situations.
Contact Lens Fitting & Follow Up Care
- Dr. Batson will perform a corneal fit during your contact lens exam. If you are a first time contact lens wearer, there will be an insertion and removal class that will need to be completed before leaving the office with the contacts.
Diabetic Eye Exams
- 1 in 10 Americans have diabetes, this puts them at a higher risk for visual impairment due to diabetic eye diseases. By having at least a yearly eye exam, 95% of diabetes-related vision loss can be prevented.
Pediatric Eye Exams
- Children's eyes grow and can change very quickly, so it is important to maintain a regular eye exam schedule. Dr. Batson and the staff have experience with children as young as 1 year old.
Wellness Screenings
- Using our Advanced OCT (Ocular Coherence Tomography) imaging technology, we are able to detect glaucoma, macular degeneration and a host of other eye deisease that cannot be seen with retinal photography. There is an additional charge for this premium wellness scan.
